An Italian heirloom variety of sprouting broccoli that produces small, 3–4" main heads above the foliage followed by several side-shoots.  Has a very pungent, nutty, broccoli taste, and can be used in a variety of dishes, and prepared in many different ways (roasted, steamed, braised, stir-fried, sauteed, etc).

For more side-shoot production, pinch off main, top bud as soon as it begins to form. 

About 45 days to main shoot production, followed quickly by side-shoots.
