About the Event

This workshop is part of our donation-based Home Organic Gardening workshop series.

Join us once a month at the Valley Verde demonstration garden and learn how to garden all year around.

In these series, you will learn how to seed and care for a variety of vegetables and herbs, including ethnic varieties like okra, Japanese cucumber, epazote, chayote among others.

Requirements: There is no previous experience required, just motivation for learning!

Valley Verde will provide gardening materials, fun gardening classes, guidance, and support during the year, access to seedlings and seeds during spring and fall).

The classes are donation based and open to the public; we want to make sure that our sliding scale works for all incomes (Suggested donation $10 - $20+ per class). You can register for the event through our website, and make the donation in person if preferred. You can also follow this link to register and make an online donation prior to the workshop.

What should I bring to the event?

If you have gardening tools and gloves waiting for some garden action, bring them and let them enjoy the fresh soil. You can also bring refreshments and a hat for those sunny days.

Are you a Valley Verde graduate? Come and refresh your gardening knowledge and support new learners!
