Seed to Succeed

This Program is Paused

Since 2015, Valley Verde's Seed to Succeed (FKA, Super Jardineros) Program has been promoting self-sufficiency through 2-year apprenticeships, during which dedicated gardeners learn how to launch a business for growing and selling commercial-grade seedlings. Underserved individual and families participate for free! Starting in 2025, we will also teach growing and selling commercial-grade vegetables!

Interested in becoming an apprentice?

The Super Jardineros Program provides:

  • Custom mini-greenhouses (Production capacity of 500 seedlings per year)

  • One-on-one training and mentorship in growing commercial-grade seedlings and vegetables

  • ​One-on-one training and mentorship in nursery care

  • Workshops on business planning, advertising, inventory management, invoicing, budgeting, funding, licensing and permits, bookkeeping, and tax preparation
