This basil is a strongly scented and flavored basil, that has a hint of licorice and is most often used in various Southeast Asian cuisines. The leaves can be used in salads, soups, sandwiches, and many other meals. The plant is a bit smaller than other sweet basils, but still prefers warmer weather and benefits from early pinching once the plant reaches 6" in height to encourage bushing and strong growth.
