To grow heads of frisee endive, direct sow outdoors 4 weeks before last frost. Thin to 12" apart. Sow in succession for a steady supply through the spring, and begin sowing again at the end of summer for a fall harvest. Provide ample water, especially during a warm spring. For baby leaves, endive can be sown closer together and cut while small.
