Monarch butterflies are important because they help pollinate plants and represent resilience in nature. California specifically provides critical overwintering habitats for monarchs along the coast, and since the Monarch Butterfly population has diminished by 90% since the 1990s, it's very important to increase awareness about what we can do to help here in the Bay! Join Ana as we invite a Bay Area specialist from Monarch Migration Revival Project, Eleanor Laney, to talk about her work with Monarch Butterflies since 2015 and how to use your free native Milkweed plant to support the population! We will also have activities for kids (coloring pages, demo garden, etc...).

On-site parking is only available for accessibility purposes. Therefore, there is no parking onsite, please park at 365 Royal Ave, San Jose, CA 95126.  It is a big parking lot located in a vacated Orchard Supply Hardware. Please refer to our Instagram to find more parking information.

We are currently accepting donations for future workshops. If you are able to donate, please do so at https://www.valleyverde.org/donate. Thank you!
