Home Compost Program
Since 2023, Valley Verde’s Home Compost Program has been preparing individuals for helping reduce the negative impact their food system has on the environment. Individuals and families who stand to benefit the most participate for free!
Interested in learning how to compost?
In San José and Gilroy, the Home Compost Program provides:​

Six (English) monthly group workshops with hands-on experience

Composting supplies (a 65-gallon compost bin or a 30-liter worm bin)
Participants learn how composting builds healthier soil, increases water retention in soil, and reduces the amount of food waste entering landfills.
