About the Event
We've partnered with Chopsticks Alley Art and Valley Water to celebrate water and its role in supporting all life. For the second gathering in the series, join us in transforming plastic bottles into Floating Lanterns of Hope. Plastic travels through rivers and oceans, harming animals and water. Together, we'll transform plastic into painted lanterns that symbolize care and responsibility for our water.
Schedule:
1-2 pm - Volunteer activity (farm and garden bed maintenance)
2-3 pm - Lanterns of Hope activity with Chopsticks Alley Art
In preparation, please: (a) (if you haven't before) sign the volunteer registration and waiver form and (b) review the below frequently asked questions:
What should we wear? Check the weather on the morning of the gathering and dress appropriately. We recommend wearing a long-sleeved shirt and pants, and a hat. Closed toed shoes are required for safety, as we are an active urban farm. We'll provide gardening gloves, but please bring a water…
